This dragon-themed scabbard also includes a central dragon and a third dragon as the scabbard throat, all meticulously crafted.

The guard of the sword, shaped like a roaring dragon, boasts a design that includes the dragon's head, wings, and feet, serving as the guard's arms. The arc of the dragon's neck creates a visually striking cut-out design, seamlessly fitting into the scabbard. The handle of the sword is crafted to resemble the steel body of the dragon on the guard, with the dragon's tail offering a full hand guard. According to the Golden Legend, Silene was once terrorized by a vicious dragon that demanded human sacrifices in exchange for access to the town's lake. Princess of the land was chosen as the next sacrifice but Saint George intervened. Mounted on his horse, he bravely faced the dragon at the lake, ultimately slaying it with his spear and the Princess’s girdle. Saint George then led the defeated dragon back to Silene where it was killed. In return for his courageous act, Saint George asked all the people of Silene to undergo baptism.
